In today's world, the package you ship in is your storefront. It's the first physical interaction customers will have with your brand. We're here to make you look great.
In 2009, after a successful Kickstarter campaign, we created an art supply product called Inkodye and a business powered by modern web-based tools. With a few clicks we built an online store, hooked up our payment system and started shipping orders. But these newfangled platforms fell short when it came to a crucial part of selling physical products: manufacturing packaging.
Our dorky curiosity drove us to scour the globe and learn how to design and produce packaging. We made every mistake in the book, but within a few years, we had become experts. Eventually, it dawned on us that this knowledge was meant to be shared. That's where Lumi comes in. It's the company we wish had existed while we were building Inkodye.
Stephan Ango and Jesse Genet, founders of Lumi.
We're building Lumi to help you focus on what you do best. Whether you're selling mattresses, underwear, dog food, or anything else — you should be working on making a great product and telling its story.
Along the way, we hope to shake up an industry that's been stuck in the age of door-to-door salesmen and spreadsheets. Not only can it be more transparent and accessible, it can also be more environmentally sound.
Thousands of amazing entrepreneurs have already trusted us with packaging for their growing businesses. Let us show you what we can do.
