How do I join Lumi?

What are the minimum requirements to join Lumi?

To join Lumi, your company must meet the following four requirements. You can learn more here.

  1. Your company has an ecommerce store
  2. Your company spends over $100,000 per year on packaging
  3. Your company has a location that accepts freight deliveries such as a warehouse, 3PL, contract manufacturer or distribution center
  4. Your company is headquartered in the United States
Is Lumi available in my country?

Your company must have an Employer Identification Number (EIN) and bank account in the United States to join Lumi.

For companies based in the US, we offer access to factories across North America and Asia that can ship to your facilities abroad. For US-based companies we also offer international freight shipping to most countries by air and by sea. Read more about Shipping.

As an agency, can I create an account and place orders on behalf of my client?

No. Unfortunately, this is not currently an option on Lumi. For the time being we only allow brands to use the Lumi Dashboard. The Dashboard is designed for your clients to manage their packaging. They can use it to involve you as a designer on their packaging projects. 

For the time being your clients must order directly through the Lumi Dashboard. The reason why is that our Terms of Service, proofs, and other sign-offs occur through the Dashboard and must be approved by the client themselves. 

If you have clients that are interested in using Lumi, please have them apply for an account, so we can set up their Dashboard. You may also want to consider applying to Lumi Experts which is a new program specifically for design agencies.

I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

Go to the password reset page and enter your email address. You will receive an email with a link to create a new password.

How can I change my password?

You can change your password in your profile settings.

My account was deactivated, how do I reactivate it?

Your account may have been deactivated for one of two reasons:

  1. Someone on your team deactivated your account. You can ask someone on your team with access to Lumi to reactivate your account by going to the User Settings.
  2. Your company’s membership lapsed and was not renewed. Accounts are automatically deactivated when membership lapses. Standard membership terms give your company access to Lumi for 12 months. To renew your membership, please reach out to our sales team.
My company does not meet the minimum requirements, what do you recommend?

We recommend looking for digitally-printed packaging, or simpler methods of customization such as pairing stock packaging with stickers, rubber stamps or other decorative components.

Do you offer design services?

Lumi does offer Packaging Engineering services encompassing the creation of custom dielines, structural packaging engineering, prepress, prototyping, ISTA testing and more.

Lumi does not offer logo design, graphic design or branding services. You will need to work with a designer knowledgeable with vector artwork to create your design on our dielines.
