About the role


As the Director of Production, you work with our global network of Suppliers to execute the custom manufacturing and delivery of our Member’s packaging. You will work directly with our Members to understand their supply chain requirements, goals, and suggest opportunities for improvements. This role is a key part of our Customer Success operations, strong communication and expectation management is critical. The success of this role means our Members are happy with our managed services.

What you'll do


  • Directly manage and support the day to day production of our Member’s orders
  • Work closely with Customer Success Managers and Packaging Managers to ensure all products are being spec’d correctly for seamless production
  • Maintain lead times and make sure they’re being communicated effectively
  • Make sure our AQL quality inspections and standards are being followed by both our Members and Suppliers
  • Analyze data and forecasts to ensure the timely delivery of every order
  • Provide leadership to CS team and join calls to provide critical updates and solutions
  • Motivate Suppliers to improve performance and complete orders on time
  • Enforce purchase agreements and lead escalations with Suppliers to solve for production issues
  • Report team metrics and help maintain Supplier score cards
  • Own relationships with Carriers and Logistics providers
  • Look for opportunities to consolidate freight and reduce Members costs
  • Work with accounting to reconcile invoices to make sure all production and shippings costs are correct
  • Report platform bugs and feedback to our product team for improvement

About you


  • 10+ years of experience in global supply chain, purchasing, logistics, and manufacturing
  • Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with effective quality control procedures
  • Ability to handle complex negotiations
  • 3PL and inventory management experience
  • Positive attitude and natural problem solver
  • Flexible schedule to work with global network of manufacturers
  • SQL, Looker, or Tableau experience
  • Ability to travel (Post COVID-19)
  • Six Sigma certification is a plus
  • Fluent Mandarin is a plus
