About the role

As Lumi’s first talent acquisition hire you will play a critical role in elevating our recruiting process to ensure we’re hiring the right talent. You will own the entire recruiting process, playing an integral role in Lumi’s growth by partnering with key stakeholders to understand current and future hiring needs, sourcing new talent, and identifying the best talent to fill our needs. You will establish and implement best in class Talent Acquisition processes to ensure an optimal experience for both candidates and Lumi team members; facilitate an efficient, cost-effective and high quality sourcing, assessing, selecting and on-boarding process.

Responsibilities

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and champion streamlined practices, workflows, and metrics
  • Maintain standardized full-cycle recruiting processes and tools to ensure best practice
  • Identify current and future talent needs to develop sourcing strategies and cultivate active and passive talent pools
  • Activate external and internal hiring efforts, identify and source appropriate talent for current open roles within the organization
  • Coach hiring managers in effective and efficient screening and assessment methodologies including behavioral interviewing.
  • Provide full life cycle recruitment across all of Lumi with a focus on sales, supply chain, design, and engineering roles
  • Own the candidate experience and act as a brand ambassador, establishing Lumi as an employer of choice
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate with hiring managers to understand their unique hiring needs and goals
  • Design and develop best-in-class interview practices and train team members on how to effectively interview candidates
  • Develop and own employer branding strategy and collaborate with the editorial and social media teams
  • Create OKRs, KPIs and other metrics to assess talent acquisition success
  • Support with creating talent acquisition related company policies such as internal mobility, job posting policy, and employee referrals

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in full life-cycle recruitment at a rapidly growing tech company
  • Experience with a growing organization with multiple business units requiring relationship building and establishing a balance between consistency and flexibility to meet needs.
  • A results oriented, self-starter who enjoys a challenge and is dedicated to “rolling up the sleeves” and getting the job done with minimal direction
  • Have highly effective judgment and interpersonal skills; and the ability to interface with all levels across the entire organization
  • Proven experience recruiting in the LA Tech market
  • Experience working cross functionally and holding people accountable for deliverables
  • Rock star sourcing skills with a good understanding of modern sourcing techniques and tools
