About the role

Lumi is growing rapidly and expanding into several new verticals and product categories. We are looking for ambitious, self-starting business people to connect the world of networked manufacturing to ecommerce.

As a Sales Development Representative at Lumi, you will be at the front lines of our growth and prospecting efforts. You will be the first point of contact for brands who are looking to streamline their packaging and supply chain. You will be a product expert across our packaging SKUs, and relay that knowledge to brands that need help sourcing and managing their packaging. Through a combination of cold email, cold calling, tradeshows and events, you will grow our pipeline of prospective customers. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, you’ll work together to set pipeline strategy and ensure Lumi is consistently set up for growth.

Responsibilities

  • Act as first point of contact for prospective customers looking for packaging
  • Identify opportunities, respond to leads, and proactively engage prospective customers
  • Become and expert in our packaging product groups and categories to provide the best consultative advice to engage prospective customers
  • Constantly engage with new, high-value prospects via cold calling and email marketing to understand their needs.
  • Develop, manage, and track key metrics related to your role (i.e., throughput, conversion rates, time from first contact to qualified pass off, etc)
  • Work interdepartmentally to develop scalable processes that optimize outreach and engagement satisfaction
  • Constantly develop your knowledge of industry and market trends

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years sales experience
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You are comfortable selling over the phone, on video calls, or in person
  • You are a team player and you are able to collaborate on opportunity development
  • You are a self-starter and eager to learn
  • You demonstrate emotional intelligence and can tailor Lumi's product offerings and software solution to serve a broad spectrum of unique and specific needs
  • You have a competitive mindset and you are adept at utilizing the power of persuasion
