How to manage inventory

Learn how to view and add inventory for your items

Inventory in Lumi can be tracked per item and location.

Viewing inventory counts

Your Items list view in Lumi has a column called Total inventory which displays the current total inventory for that item. You can toggle or move that column by right clicking the table headers.

You can also click to the detail page for any item and see the Total inventory count in the right column.

Each item has a tab called Inventory which displays the current inventory per location.

Updating inventory counts manually

To update inventory for an item manually, go to an Item detail page, then click Actions > Update inventory.

You will then be able to update the current inventory count for a location. This number will be immediately reflected in your Total inventory.

Updating inventory counts via API (beta)

You can use Lumi to sync inventory counts to your inventory management system, WMS or 3PL. To enable this integration please contact your account manager.

If you want to sync Lumi inventory to another system that requires a different ID system you can use External IDs on an item to store the ID from the tool you want to integrate with. This could be a SKU number or other identifier.

Sharing inventory counts with your suppliers (beta)

You can make inventory counts visible to specific suppliers, to help your suppliers keep those items in stock, or inform you when to reorder. To enable this functionality, please contact your account manager.
