Notifications

Receive notifications for activities happening across your workspace.

How notifications work

When you turn on a notification for a category, you’ll receive both an in-application and email notification for actions that take place across your entire team. For example, if you turn on Ordering notifications, you’ll receive an order submission confirmation when anyone on your team submits a new order.

Turning off a notification will not stop you from receiving those emails if you are the intended recipient of that workflow. For example, you won’t receive an order submission confirmation if someone else on your team submits an order, but you will still receive that notification if you are the one who submitted the order.

Interacting with in-application notifications

You can interact with notifications on the Lumi platform in a few ways.

  1. On the Dashboard, the first 5 unread notifications are displayed

  2. The bell icon at the top left will have a badge that indicates the number of unread notifications. Clicking on the bell will display the 15 latest unread notifications in the notification tray

  3. All notifications can be viewed inside the Notification Center, which can be found by clicking “Notifications” in the sidebar, or “See All” on the dashboard or from the bell icon.

Each notification has an icon and title. Clicking on any notification will reveal additional content, including links to any attachments. Clicking the ‘go to’ link on the notification will bring you to the most relevant page for the notification.

In the Notification Center, expanded notifications have a filter button which can be used to filter to a topic such as a specific order, invoice, or quote. From the Notification Center, you can also filter by category if you wish to see a specific type of notification such as a paid invoice.

Responding to email notifications

Each notification is also sent as an email so you can stay up to date with important activities wherever you are.

You can respond to both quote and order messages directly from your email and your message will appear inside the platform as well as sent via email to the supplier and any other collaborators for that message thread.

Updating notification preferences

  1. When logged into Lumi click Settings in the sidebar
  2. Go to the Notifications tab
