Placing reorders

Reorder items with expired quotes

You can order items with expired quotes using the most recent quote for that item. When you place an order that includes items with expired quotes, suppliers can accept the order with the pricing from their most recent quote. You can approve or deny updated pricing before the order is placed.

1 Create an order

There are a few ways to reorder an item

  • From the Orders view, click Clone in the top right
  • From the Items view, select an item and click the Add to order button next to the most recent quote.
  • From the Quoting view, select a quote, then View details on the item(s) you want to reorder. From the Item’s details screen, you can click the Add to order button.

2 Complete and submit your order

  1. Add items and details to complete your order. You'll see an "Expired price detected" reminder at the top of the page for the expired item.
  2. Click Review and Submit.

3 Reviewing pricing

When the supplier receives your order, they will be able to accept it, and have the option to update the pricing. You'll receive a notification after they've accepted the order and sent it back to you for final review.

Production can not begin until you approve the final order.

When the supplier keeps latest pricing

The supplier may decide not to change the pricing, leaving at the same unit cost as your last order. In that case, when the supplier Accepts the order, they can go right into production if your order items have approved proofs.

When the supplier updates expired pricing

If the supplier changes the price, you’ll see the new unit cost and total amount in orange. If you hover over the question mark icon, you’ll see the previous cost so you can compare it to the updated unit cost.

  • If the updated pricing is okay, click Accept. The supplier will be notified and they’ll start production.
  • If the updated pricing is too high, you can choose to click Reject. The supplier will be notified. We recommend sending a message on the order if you want to try and negotiate pricing.
