Using multiple workspaces

If you are using Lumi to work with multiple clients, companies, or subsidiaries, you can easily toggle between their workspaces.

User accounts on Lumi can belong to multiple company workspaces. With this feature, you can belong to multiple organizations. This feature is ideal for several scenarios:

  • Agencies and freelance designers working with multiple clients
  • Contract manufacturers or co-packers that work with multiple clients
  • Subsidiaries which may have separate procurement processes and operational teams

Each workspace has separate billing

When considering whether to create a new workspace, it's important to know that each workspace has its own billing settings. This means that your subscription plan, payment methods, payment terms, and invoices can only be accessed by users of that workspace.

Creating a new workspace

To create a new workspace for yourself or a client, use our signup form with the email address you have used for your main Lumi account.

Adding users to workspaces

Every Lumi workspace can have multiple users. To join an existing company workspace you need to be invited by a user of that workspace.

To join a workspace, or invite someone to your workspace, reference this guide.

When you're invited to join a company's Lumi account, you'll receive an email to accept the invitation.

Switching between workspaces

To switch between Lumi workspaces, click on your avatar in the top right, then click the workspace that you want to switch to.

Note: To use this easy toggle feature, you will need to use the same email address across all your workspaces. If you are invited to a new workspace using a second email address than your main Lumi account, you'll need to log out and then log in again using the second email address.
