Regular Slotted Container (RSC)

A longitudinal seam box with four flaps on the top — the front and back flaps meet in the middle.
Requires tape

Since the ends of this box don't tuck or lock into place, tape is required to close.

Flaps meet in the middle

All flaps are half the length of the box, so the front and back flaps meet in the middle.

Regular glue seam

Extend the glue seam for added strength.

Why choose it

The most universal box style because it is efficient to manufacture and creates little waste. RSCs can be made without a cutting die unless the design requires offset scores, hand holes, or other added details.
